Nasugbu is a first-class municipality and the largest town in Western Batangas. Known for its stunning beach resorts, Nasugbu is a place I’ve visited many times, especially to enjoy Terrazas de Punta Fuego and Peninsula de Punta Fuego. It was also from a private wharf in this town that I once boarded a boat to an island resort owned by the Levistes.

Defined by rolling hills, mountains, and the sea, Nasugbu’s landscape shapes its main industries—agriculture and aquaculture. Expansive sugarcane fields, rice and vegetable farms, and the bounty of the ocean make Nasugbu both self-sufficient and prosperous. This abundance is celebrated in a festival that showcases the town's wealth through its diverse crops.

The festival’s highlight is an all-day parade featuring vibrant floats and lively street dancing. Students from various schools dress in creatively designed costumes, enthusiastically chanting and dancing through the streets. The floats proudly display muses from each barangay, accompanied by their dashing barangay chiefs, adding a touch of charm and community pride to the celebration.
